Business Practices

As the national organization representing the business interests of consulting engineers, ACEC keeps abreast of new issues like alternate delivery methods, standard contracts, outsourcing, Qualifications-Based Selection and relations with client groups. In addition, professionalism in our dealings with both public and private sectors is enhanced by ACEC's continuing concern for maintaining and updating a code of practice for the industry.

The ACEC Board of Directors has recently begun to tackle the issue of labour supply in the engineering sector.  To this, ACEC is currently producing a high impact human resources promotional video to encourage engineering students to join the consulting engineering industry.  See the “Students” section of the website for more information.

ACEC also works with PSMJ to provide training courses for engineers.  Refer to the “Services” section of the website for more information and an updated list of courses.
