PSPC issues first RFP using QBS as part of new pilot program!

 

This represents a major step in the federal government efforts to modernize procurement and provide value to taxpayers.

PSPC has launched its pilot of QBS procurement for engineering and architecture services to evaluate its effectiveness in achieving better outcomes, more innovation and life-cycle savings.

ACEC recommendations featured in House of Commons Report on Procurement

 

QBS provides “better service, better quality, and better value for taxpayers.”

ACEC President and CEO John Gamble testified to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates (OGGO) that Qualifications-Based Selection (QBS) and focus on long-term value are key to modernizing federal procurement.

Interests of the consulting engineering sector top-of-mind for ACEC

 

Summer is a busy period for the consulting engineering sector and the same holds true for the ACEC team.

Although the House of Commons rose in late June, we are ramping up our activities to ensure that the voice of consulting engineers continues to be heard loud and clear on the issues that impact our industry.
