ACEC has made the voice of consulting engineering heard on many important national issues over the past year. ACEC and the consulting engineering sector are regarded as credible and key stakeholders on many issues by both the public and private sectors.
ACEC member engagement and sector study: what member firms value from membership in ACEC and provincial/territorial association
The member engagement and sector study that has been taking place over the past four months was presented to the ACEC Board. The study aimed to understand the value proposition consulting engineering firms assign to being a member of the association both nationally and provincially.
ACEC Chair Anne Poschmann named one of Canada’s most powerful women
The Chair of ACEC’s Board of Directors, Anne Poschmann, has been named one of Canada’s most powerful women in the Women’s Executive Network Top 100 Awards. Two more executives from ACEC member firms were also recipients of awards.
ACEC-SK Showcases 2014 Awards of Distinction
Outstanding performance was the focus of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies - Saskatchewan’s Annual Awards of Distinction Reception held November 4, 2014 in Saskatoon.

Engineers Canada Awards
Engineers Canada is seeking nominations for its 2015 awards. Terms of reference and nomination forms for each award category can be found on the Engineers Canada website. The deadline for submissions is 4 p.m. EST on Friday, January 9, 2015.

The Institute for BIM in Canada (IBC) has released a number of valuable resources, including BIM execution plan toolkits, contract language and guides, to facilitate the adoption of building information modelling (BIM) in the Canadian built environment. In addition, buildingSMART Canada, a council of IBC, invites firms and individuals to join as members and help shape the future of BIM in Canada.
