Election 2015: Parties respond to
ACECís election questionnaire
Dear ACEC Member,
ACEC is helping its members and Canadians interested in infrastructure to make an informed decision in the federal election.
We are now days away from Election Day 2015 when Canadians will head to the polls to decide the fate of the 42nd parliament. In advance of this, ACEC distributed questionnaires to all major political parties asking them where they stand on infrastructure investment. We have officially heard from both the NDP and the Liberal Party. Overall, ACEC is encouraged by the specific commitments to infrastructure investment from both responses:
New Democratic Party response
Liberal Party of Canada response
While we were also encouraged by the previously announced Building Canada Plan, ACEC has not as yet received specific responses to its questionnaire from the Conservative Party. If a response is received, ACEC will share it with you on our election website, VoteInfrastructure.ca.
In the lead up to and during the election, ACEC has taken a proactive approach to ensure that our message on infrastructure investment has been heard loud and clear.
Since the launch of our election website, over 300 letters have been sent to candidates all across the country. We have a few more days to carry this momentum and we encourage you all to log on to the site and send the form letter to the candidates in your riding.
Additionally, ACEC has been active on social media with the hashtag, #VoteInfrastructure. Please visit our twitter handle @ACECCanada and engage with us in the final days.
Together, we can make a difference for our industry and for all Canadians. Ensure your voice is heard by visiting VoteInfrastructure.ca and remember to #VoteInfrastructure in 2015!
