Year in review
Over the past year, ACEC delivered clear and consistent messages to the federal government on behalf of its members. These efforts have had positive results, including the newly elected government committing to the largest new investment in infrastructure in Canadian history.
ACEC-BC launches online QBS resource
ACEC-BC has developed an exciting new online resource to help municipalities and other owners implement effective procurement practices. Supported in part by ACEC-Canada, the website www.yes2qbs.com brings together QBS-related information in one convenient location and includes guides, templates and studies that offer detailed explanation of Qualifications Based Selection. The site also features a 1-minute introductory video explaining the basic concept of the QBS process.
ACEC 2016-2019 strategic plan to emphasize value to members
Consultation is an important element of the strategic planning process – and we want to hear from you. What do you believe ACECís strategic priorities should be over the next three years? #20DaysOfExcellence campaign showcases award-winning projects
ACEC promotes projects and firms via web and social media
From November 9 to December 4, ACEC showcased all of the winning projects and firms that took top honours at the 2015 Canadian Consulting Engineering Awards. A different project was featured each weekday on the acec.ca website, as well as via Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.
Student outreach: ACEC to participate at 2016 CFES Congress
ACEC will be attending the 2016 Canadian Federation of Engineering Students (CFES) Congress, an annual student-run conference that provides a platform for collaboration, learning and engagement among students, industry partners and sponsors.
Engineers Canada Awards
Engineers Canada is seeking nominations for its 2016 awards. Terms of reference and nomination forms for each award category can be found on the Engineers Canada website. The deadline for submissions is 4 p.m. EST on Friday, January 8, 2016.
