Make Your Voice Heard:
Infrastructure is Important
Participate in Federal Pre-Budget Consultations
Dear ACEC member,
ACEC is encouraging its members to get involved and have their voice heard by the federal government on the importance of infrastructure investment.
The federal Minister of Finance, the Hon. Bill Morneau, has opened this year’s pre-budget public consultations to all Canadians. This is a unique opportunity for Canadians to provide input to the federal government on how to best invest taxpayers' money in advance of Budget 2016, expected to be tabled in March.
ACEC is hopeful that the government will present a long-term, predictable and strategic plan for infrastructure investment and to ensure this, our members need to be seen, collectively, as a valued stakeholder and a trusted voice with government.
ACEC has prepared suggested talking points relating to the specific questions posed by the Finance department.
To participate, please visit the 2016 Pre-Budget Consultations webpage and click on ‘online consultation’. You can simply copy/paste our suggested talking points in your response to the government’s questions or edit the text to reflect your personal opinion. Either way, you are making a difference by having your voice heard in this very important discussion.
ACEC has submitted an official response on behalf of the association, which you can view here.
