Providing value to ACEC members: new business resources available

ACEC is committed to providing the highest value for your membership. We do this by offering member firms exclusive access to online professional development and business resources through the Members Only section of the ACEC website.

Professional development that helps strengthen your business

Over the past months, we’ve launched new on-demand webinars on a host of different topics including liability and legal issues, project management, best practices for A&E firms, and succession planning. These recorded sessions—all complimentary—can be viewed anytime because we recognize that face to face professional development isn’t always feasible. To view any of these webinars, simply log in to access the complimentary sessions.

This month, we’re launching another learning opportunity in collaboration with one of our corporate business partners, Deltek. In Build a Better A&E Firm: Turbo-Charge your Annual Business Plan and Budget, you’ll learn five ways to achieve better results from your business plan and budget with Doug Reed, P.E., President of FosterGrowth.biz. This session explores how to recognize and incorporate activities that are achievable by connecting to longer term goals.

Stay tuned to Source for the announcement of the launch other online learning opportunities.

Business resources that give you a competitive edge

ACEC knows that staying current is what gives you the competitive edge. For this reason, we’re excited to introduce a new section to Members Only to help you gain invaluable insight into the latest business practices in the A & E sector.

The Business Resource Centre is a new feature of Members Only that includes whitepapers, case studies and other resources that will help strengthen your business acumen. The following are currently available to view and download:

  • The Ultimate Guide to Managing People, Projects, and Profitability6 Tips to Steer Your Firm toward Success
  • How Great A&E Firms Set Themselves Apart
  • Life after Legacy. When is the Right Time to Move Off of a Legacy Financial Platform?

Visit the Business Resource Centre – exclusive to members – by simply logging in. Be sure to visit this new feature area again soon as additional resources will be added in the coming weeks.

NOTE: If you experience difficulties logging into the Members Only section of ACEC’s website, please contact Martin Savard at msavard@acec.ca or by phone at 613-236-0569.
